For sale is this very fine Japanese Satsuma vase decorated with chrysanthemum and trailing wisteria on a elegant square shape vase with tall square concave flaring neck by one of the Satsuma masters Yabu Meizan.
The vase measures 14.7cm tall by 5.8 wide to the base. The vase bears the very fine gilt seal mark for Yabu Meizan. It is undamaged or restored. One side of the lower section with a slight area of staining shown in pics. The vase on offer shows the art of well-balanced decoration in conjunction with the beauty of the shape of the vase and the ivory colour and fine grackle of the glaze and body. Meiji period.
