A superb quality 19th century regency mahogany water fall Canterbury whatnot. This superior quality Georgian George geo III small narrow set of graduated open bookshelves has a wonderful original colour with a turned galley to the top shelf enclosed by c - shaped scrolls beneath which is a Canterbury divided by s - scrolls and having a sliding drawer. The whole is raised on turned legs and original brass swivel castors. This piece of English furniture is in excellent condition. Circa 1820. Measures 24”w x 14”d x 56”h.

This Regency mahogany waterfall open dwarf bookcase Canterbury stands 142.24 cm high, 60.9601 cm wide, and 35.5601 cm deep. The dark brown timber shows a rich original finish with graduated open bookshelves, a turned gallery rail along the top shelf, and c-scroll side supports. Two small figures stand on the second shelf alongside a decorative book block and several volumes with blue, red, and brown spines. Below the upper shelves, a canterbury section features partitions divided by s-scrolls, fronted by turned spindles and backed by additional books. A lower sliding drawer includes two small round wooden pull handles.
