In solid, well figured oak, this large scale antique housekeepers cupboard splits into two sections at the waist. The top has four panelled doors, inside are three, fixed thick oak shelves. The oak base has eight graduated drawers, all oak lined and dovetailed with lovely brass handles. A very useful, large piece of Georgian oak furniture, it stands well on bracket feet and even the backboards are lovely, period 18th century oak. In very good condition throughout. Dates from the late eighteenth century 1780-1800.
