Antique Silver Butter Dish.

Description

Early Victorian, silver lidded, frosted glass butter dish. The plate and dish are of frosted glass, and the lid/cover is silver, with a goat finial; the cover is beautifully decorated with floral scrolls and a wonderful model of the goat as a lifting piece. There is a crest to the cover, and both the cover and goat are clearly hallmarked with matching marks. Top condition, charming piece, typical of the period.
