A Good Quality Mixed Metal Pheasant Vase by Nogawa

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality japanese bronze and mixed metal vase by the renowned Nogawa company , the mid colour bronze ground is decorated to a high standard with the use of mixed alloys including gold,silver,shibuichi and shakudo , the vase simply depicts a pheasant foraging in the grasses beneath a punus blossom tree, the onlaid work is deep relief and high quality as you would expect from this great company, signed with a factory seal to the base .

The condition is original with minor age related wear !
