It has an elegant swan neck pediment above an astragal glazed door with moulded edges and key with working lock. It has been beautifully inlaid with fine swags and tails detailing and really is quite unique. The interior has two fixed shelves and the lower section has a spectacular inlaid drawer with satinwood crossbanded edge and boxwood and ebony string inlay. The interior has one fixed shelf and stands elegantly on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The Mahogany has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
