This delightful period oak antique harness cupboard dates from around 1720.
The two cupboard doors have raised fielded panels and the original H hinges. The interior of the cupboard contains the majority of the original hanging hooks. The base contains two oak lined drawers with moulded edges and stands on raised feet. The cupboard is of traditional peg construction and has panelled sides it would make an ideal hall cupboard. This wonderful piece is full of the charm and character expected in a true antique and is constructed from the finest English solid oak. The oak has aged to a wonderful warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
