This delightful period oak antique harness cupboard dates from around 1760.
The interior of the cupboard contains some of the original hanging pegs along with a later hanging rail. The base contains three faux drawers above a two over one working drawer configuration. The drawer fronts are cock beaded and the sides of the piece are panelled and have quarter column reeded corners. The cupboard is of traditional peg construction and full of the charm and character expected in a true antique. It splits into two sections, aiding transportation, and is a wonderful warm, medium dark shade of oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
