Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a rectangular moulded top above a full length cupboard door with original brass handle. The door front displays beautiful satinwood cross banding along with boxwood and ebony string inlay. The interior has two removable shelves and it stands on a moulded plinth. This very desirable antique cupboard would prove to be an ideal drinks cabinet or even a filing cabinet for all that essential paperwork! It is a warm medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
