Fine Kutani Double Gourd Vase

A very finely decorated Japanese Kutani vase of double gourd shape. The vase is decorated in typical Kutani palette with superb quality gilding. There are two scenes in cartouches, one depicting scholars and the other finches. The vase is signed with a full description and named artist. The vase is also on the original carved hardwood stand. The vase has a very small chip on the lip which has been restored some time ago. C.1900.
