Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Decorated with a deer, hunter, and a maiden holding a bird in green with black outline against a cream ground. With a clear mark at the base. Good condition with a few very minor chips from the glaze.
Reputedly the vase was originally owned by Gibraltarian business man and philanthropist John Mackintosh (1865-1940) after whom the fort’s main square was named.
