Very Large Decorative Japanese Satsuma Vase

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to offer this lovely large hexagonal Japanese satsuma vase,profusely decorated with six continuous panels of geisha, children , boats and butterflies in a lakeside setting with a mountainous backdrop , the top section nicely decorated with fan shaped floral designs above trailing wisteria, the base section again painted with fan shaped floral design between gilt borders.

There is so much going on it would be impossible to describe everything in detail , nicely painted and signed to the underside , a really decorative vase .

The condition is absolutely lovely with only expected gilding wear around the rim from cleaning , no chips,cracks or restorations !!
