French 18th Century Oak Food Cupboard

Description

A rare opportunity to purchase this unusual piece of French furniture.

This cupbaord was made sometime during the late 18th century but I believe it is a direct copy of a much earlier piece of furniture.

The cupboard is totally original ...the difference in colour on the ends is due to lack of polishing as the cupboard has been situated between other pieces . This can easily be rectified by waxing if need be. Or we could arrange for our cabinet maker to do it.

The construction of the doors is unusual in so much as one door opens within the second door. Each has its own individual locks. Both doors are fully folding.

This useful little cupboard measures

30 inches wide, 21.5 inches deep and 61 inches high.

Inspection is welcome here in Somerset.
