Steve Sly Japanese Works of Art has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

The complete dome is made up of eight individual segments and one central circle all sitting in a seriously robust cast iron framework of the period measuring approx 72" in diameter , the segments are held in place with wires and putty as intended and other than a couple of small age cracks and minor repairs it is in superb original condition .

The whole thing could be reinstated in the manner it was intended , as an alternative i believe that out of the wooden frame and suspended on wires/chains from a ceiling upside down it would make the most impressive glass lampshade you could ever imagine.

Your hallway or lobby or swimming pool/ snooker room could be the envy of your friends .
It is magnificent do not miss it !!!
Approximate size out of frame 72"
