Cupboard George III Oak Folio Architects Plan Chest C1780

Here we have a very rare George III Oak folio cupboard. As you can see the cupboard has great colour and patina. The cupboard is also very finely made having a beautiful long piano hinge to the top which lifts in order to pull open the front. The hinged (original) piece on the front acting as a leg to reveal individual folding cards of large proportions. The fall front has two wonderful fielded panels with a moulding at the bottom to hold and display plans painting etc. The base also has a fall front to reveal a cupboard space. There have been some minor alterations as you would expect for a working piece of furniture. The cupboard is offered in my usual finished retail standard and ready to use. If you have an art gallery selling period pieces or a private collection this is ideal. The dimensions are approx 57 inches wide 55 high and 20 deep.
