Pair Of Victorian Greek Revival Vases

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A pair of highly decorative late Victorian Vases in the Greek Revival taste. The vases are of typical Neoclassical baluster shape and are decorated in a matt black body colour with bands of Greek key decoration and two central freizes repeated on both vases, one of Gods with horses and one of a charioteer. The vases also have very unusual antelope or goat head handles. Both vases are in perfect condition, not marked but most likely made in Staffordshire C.1900.
