Antique Victorian Tall Painted Pine Linen Press Cupboard on Chest C1880 W6562/30.8

Lovely antique victorian tall painted pine press and dating from around 1880. The press has been painted in the rough (over its original paint) using farrow & ball eggshell and the interior has been left in the original unpainted condition and the internal side of the panelled doors has its original scrumbled pine finish andthus keeping its charm and authenticity. It has a cornice top with frieze above two long panelled doors with painted knob handle and with two adjustable shelves. The cupboard has in the past been used as a cricket cupboard and there are holes in the top shelf for the bat handles. It is perfectly possible to replace this shelf and to also add a further two shelves if required as the grooves are there to hold the shelves in place. The base has a moulded edge to the top above three graduating drawers all of which are pine lined and with painted knob handles. It is moulded to the base and stands on bun feet. The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

Measures: 97" high X 21.5" deep X internal depth 19.5" X 45" wide

In very good condition andoozing all the charm and character of the period.
