Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Cataloguer’s note

  • Period19th century
  • SizeH 76.5 cm (30 in) x W 48.5 cm (19 in) x D 32.5 cm (13 in)

This pair of nineteenth century Italian bedside cabinets comes in the Louis XVI style, made from walnut and marquetry pine. Each cabinet measures 76.5 cm high, 48.5 cm wide, and 32.5 cm deep. The woodwork displays rich mid-brown and golden honey timber tones, arranged in geometric herringbone patterns across the drawer fronts and cabinet doors. Central circular marquetry medallions adorn each door, bordered by slender banded inlays. Small circular wooden knobs serve as hardware on both the drawers and doors, positioned above tapering square legs. Placed beside a bed in a bedroom, these cabinets provide practical surface space and enclosed storage for nighttime essentials. The compact proportions suit smaller spaces equally well as guest rooms, functioning as lamp tables or occasional side storage units in a living room. The warm wood finishes blend naturally with both traditional and contemporary interior settings.
