This Art Deco cluster ring originates from the 1920 period. The piece comprises a platinum band and setting enclosing a central blue cabochon star sapphire and a silver-toned diamond halo featuring millegrain edging, round-cut diamonds, and a pierced openwork gallery. The visible elements include a highly domed central gemstone surface, fine millegrain bezel decoration around the collet, and graduated stone sizing that forms the circular border. The sapphire measures an average diameter of 8.38 mm with a depth of 6.79 mm, and the setting width measures 1.37 cm. Intended for personal wear, this ring serves as a finger ornament for formal events, milestone occasions, or daily use as a statement piece in a modern wardrobe. The platinum construction provides durability for regular wear, while the low-profile cluster design sits flat against the hand. It is worn on the finger and functions as an antique accessory for personal adornment.

Originating in the 1920s, Art Deco cluster rings feature geometric symmetry, contrasting gemstone halos, and platinum settings designed to highlight a prominent central gemstone.

Rings from this period were predominantly crafted in platinum or white gold, utilising cabochon or faceted coloured gemstones framed by brilliant or single-cut diamonds with millegrain borders.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-applied millegrain edging, platinum metal hallmarks, geometric under-gallery work, and period-appropriate diamond cuts such as old European or single cuts.

A classic cluster ring serves as a standalone statement piece for formal wear or can be paired with plain platinum and diamond bands for contemporary layering.

Clean gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals to preserve both the star sapphire optical phenomenon and delicate platinum millegrain settings.
