Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Regency wall cabinet uses dark brown mahogany with glass and brass elements. The two glazed doors display Gothic arch astragal glazing bars, while the sides incorporate spiral-turned columns with carved roundel details at the corners. A pronounced stepped moulding crowns the top of the cabinet, and key escutcheons are set into the centre stiles. The surface shows light dusty wear across the woodwork and glass panels. Measuring 116 cm high by 108 cm wide and 35 cm deep, this piece provides practical enclosed storage space above a sideboard in a dining room, hallway, or living area. Inside, adjustable shelves accommodate books, tableware, or display items behind the glass.

Regency wall cabinets, originating in the early 19th century, feature symmetrical proportions, rich timber veneers such as mahogany, and detailed glazing bars often influenced by Gothic or Classical revival styles.

Cabinets from this era were primarily constructed using solid oak or pine frameworks faced with fine mahogany veneers, incorporating hand-blown float glass and cast brass hardware.

Authentic pieces exhibit historical construction markers such as hand-cut dovetail joints, slight imperfections or air bubbles in the original glass, hand-turned column details, and period brass keyhole escutcheons.

Mounting the cabinet on a neutral wall allows it to serve as a focal point for displaying ceramics, glassware, or small collection items, pairing period architectural details with contemporary lines.

Clean glass surfaces with a dry or slightly dampened lint-free cloth, apply high-quality beeswax to the wood along the grain to maintain the patination, and keep the piece away from direct heat sources and excessive moisture.
