Description

A beautiful and very well made antique Victorian mahogany duet piano stool / bench by James Shoolbred. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1880-1900 period.

The quality is exceptional, this is a useful and versatile piece. It has beautiful detailed fretwork & carving on all sides, with finely turned carry handles on the sides. Intended for use as a duet piano stool, it would very well as an ottoman bench at the end of a bed or as a window seat. The upholstered seat lifts up to reveal some internal storage space, this is nicely finished on all sides, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had the wood re-polished to a very high standard, the seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent throughout. The makers label is present beneath the seat.
