Description

Good seventeenth century oak four panel coffer, the panelled top with original loop hinges. Nulled frieze with fine trefoil carving between the arches. Bog oak and holly inlaid lozenges to the front panels inset with numerals and letters, possibly a date and owner's initials; could also relate to a marriage. In very good condition, rich mid oak colour. Circa 1650
