Superb Victorian Miniature Silver Scent Flask by Saunders & Shepherd 1889

Description

A beautiful Victorian miniature silver scent flask made by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd.

This pretty little scent bottle is circular in form with screw top cap containing cork insert. It a loop on either side with an attractive suspension chain and ring so it could be hung from a chatelaine.

Fully hallmarked on one side with the maker's mark for Saunders & Shepherd, Birmingham assay office dated 1889. There are date marks on the reverse side.

In lovely antique condition with some scuffs to the polished surface on the front & back.

This lovely flask would make a great gift for Victorian silver collectors or lovers of fine quality silver.
