A classy vintage sapphire solitaire ring. The emerald cut 1.49 carat Ceylon sapphire in the centre displays a bright and attractive cornflower blue, with flashes of royal blue. The stone is held in a four claw collet with geometric detailing in the gallery, leading to a slender 18k yellow gold shank

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows indications of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut:  Emerald cut.

Clarity:  Loupe clean.

Carat:  1.49 carat.

Circa:  1950.

Size:  L (UK) or 5 1/2 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The sapphire is 7.6 x 5.8mm. Sits 5.7mm from the finger.
