French Empire Style Crystal Waterfall Chandelier c.1910

We are pleased to offer a fine early 20th-century French Empire-style crystal tent and waterfall chandelier. Of particularly elegant tall and slender proportions, the chandelier has an aged brass frame dressed with faceted crystal. Graduated swags of faceted crystal buttons form the upper tent, descending to the circular brass frame, beneath which numerous long faceted icicle and prism drops are arranged over several graduated tiers to form the waterfall.

The chandelier is fitted with three internal lights, concealed amongst the crystal drops, and retains its original ceiling rose and suspension chain.

The brass framework has developed an attractive aged patination, contrasting particularly well with the extensive clear faceted crystal decoration.

Good condition commensurate with age, with expected minor wear to the crystal and metalwork.
