A handsome 19th-century brass-bound campaign chest, constructed from beautifully figured camphor wood timber with a rich, warm colour and characterful patina. The chest features protective brass corner mounts and straps, sturdy iron carrying handles to each side, a recessed brass handle and central lock escutcheon.

The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious, clean interior with a useful fitted compartment to one side. A practical and decorative antique offering generous storage, ideal for use as a coffee table, blanket box or statement piece.
