Edwardian Aquamarine Heart Drop Necklace 15ct Gold Antique Pendant Circa 1910

A beautiful Edwardian aquamarine necklace, dating to circa 1910 and finely handcrafted in 15ct gold.

Elegant and wonderfully feminine, the necklace is designed with a round light blue aquamarine set at the centre of the chain, suspending a graceful articulated gold drop. The elongated openwork section leads to a charming heart-shaped motif, centred with an oval faceted aquamarine.

Both aquamarines display an attractive clear light blue colour and are bezel set with delicate millegrain detailing, typical of the refined jewellery of the Edwardian period.

The pendant is suspended from its integral fine curb-link gold chain, fastening securely with a traditional spring-ring clasp. The articulated construction allows the lower aquamarine drop to move gently when worn, catching the light beautifully.

A particularly charming antique necklace with an understated elegance that makes it remarkably wearable today. It would make a lovely bridal necklace, anniversary gift or a special addition to an antique jewellery collection.
