The rosewood of the most beautiful grain and colour and the cabinet work of the highest quality.
These bedside cabinets have always been well cared for. The fielded panel doors open and close smoothly on original hinges and with original thumb turn latches. The inner shelves are removable.
It is rare to find a true pair of 19th century bedside chests in such excellent original condition. Many that are advertised as pairs of antique bedside cabinets are actually converted from the pedestals of sideboards with later tops added.
Condition: exceptionally fine, no worm or damage and only the smallest number of tiny knocks and scuffs. One internal shelf is later.
From a private home and with removable shaped glass tops which have been made for these chests and will protect the tops from damage and marks.
Strongly recommended - in exemplary original condition and truly beautiful.
Dimensions are:
28.5 inches high, 17 inches wide and 13.25 inches deep front to back. Height above the internal shelf is 9.5 inches and below is 13 inches.
