Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco pendants from the 1930s are defined by geometric shapes, clean architectural lines, and symmetrical gemstone arrangements. Influenced by modernism and industrial design, they frequently feature white metals such as platinum alongside diamonds and contrasting gemstones.

Art Deco jewellery typically utilised platinum or 18-carat white gold to achieve a monochromatic aesthetic. Diamonds were set alongside contrasting black enamel, onyx, or coloured gemstones, often finished with detailed millgrain borders.

Authentic 1930s pieces often display hand-applied millgrain detailing, openwork filigree, and period hallmarks on the bail or chain. Diamonds from this era typically feature hand-cut facets, such as old European or single cuts, rather than modern machine cuts.

When not being worn, an antique diamond pendant can be displayed in a velvet shadow box or draped over a vintage jewellery stand under a glass cloche. Positioned on a dressing table, it serves as an ornamental focal point.

Clean vintage diamond jewellery using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust and oil. Store the piece individually in a lined box to prevent hard diamonds from scratching soft metals or adjacent gemstones.
