The Silver Squirrel has dated this Antique Silver Page Turner to the 1890s.
It was presented by Lt Coln Woodhall of the US Army to Army Medical Mess Aldershot Nov 1891. Alfred Alexander Woodhall served in the American Civil War, he received a Gold Medal for Military Service, wrote many papers on best medical practice, and visited England in 1891 as part of his research. He later lectured at Princeton. It is in super condition being free from dings slits and repairs. It measures approx. 8.75 inches (22cm) long by 1.25 inch (3.1cm) wide at its widest point and weighs 64 grams. A very interesting item worthy of a museum.
