Description

A decorative pair of Empire-style wall lights, each with a shaped burr walnut backplate mounted with finely cast brass ornament.

The central decoration features a lion-mask motif beneath an elaborate palmette, flanked by two scrolling brass branches enriched with acanthus-leaf and anthemion detail. Each light is completed with a decorative pinecone finial and two candle-style fittings.

The warm figuring of the burr walnut contrasts beautifully with the brass mounts and darker patinated central panels. An impressive pair of wall lights. Converted for electricity.
