Elmgarden has dated this Victorian Copper Street Lantern to the Victorian era.
This is a Large Copper Street Light Lantern, originally it would have been lit by gas, it has glazed sides and most unusually the top is also glazed, this may be because it was previously in a very dark area like a tunnel, the lamp sits on a circular iron fitting bracket

This is a superb large piece, the copper is beautifully weathered and has a beautiful colouring
The Lantern is 18” across and 30” high,
PM173.
