Exquisite Miniature Silver Commemorative Victorian Silver Photo Frame, Birmingham 1900

Description

This delightful miniature silver photo frame is dated Birmingham 1900 and bears Queen Victoria's commemorative dates. Of oval form, surrounded by laurel leaves to one side and oak leaves to the other. The top surmounted by a crown. The base with a ribbon embossed with Queen Victorian commemorative dates and the letters V R for "Victorian Regina". Still retaining the original green moire silk lining and red leather back and easel.

Hallmarks:

Maker's marks S.P

Date letter "a" for 1900.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Dimensions:

Height: 5.5cm / 2.2 inches.

Width: 4cm / 1.5 inches.

Condition:

Good.

Silver in very good condition.

Leather back and easel in good condition.

One catch at the back missing.
