We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Individual silver lemon wedge squeezers emerged in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as specialized dining and barware implements. Designed to prevent citrus juice from spraying on diners or hands, they became standard accessories in formal dining services and high-end cocktail culture during the Art Deco era.

Traditional lemon squeezers of this style are constructed from sterling silver or high-grade silver plate. They feature a hinged mechanical press lever, a perforated or shaped bowl to hold the wedge, and a pointed base or handle that allows precise directional pouring.

Authentic British silver items from the 1930s carry official silver hallmarks stamped into the metal, including the makers mark, town mark, purity mark, and date letter. Mechanical joints should show precise fitting, with sturdy gauge metal capable of withstanding light pressure.

Silver citrus squeezers can be displayed alongside glassware on a tray, positioned on a bar cart, or arranged inside a sideboard cabinet. Their reflective metallic surface adds texture and structural detail to entertaining setups.

Rinse silver items immediately after contact with acidic citrus juices to prevent tarnishing and etching. Clean using warm soapy water, dry thoroughly with a soft cloth, and periodically apply a silver polishing paste to maintain the finish.
