Description

An 18th Century Tin Glazed Dish.

With a rounded rim, formed by nine outward sweeping an convex profile panels, decorated with poppy heads and scrolling foliage. The flat centre of the dish painted with a scene of two Chinese ladies in conversation as they sit beside a tea house in an oriental garden. The rear of the dish with a raised circular foot rim.

Date circa 1730.

Height 2 1/2 inches, 6cm.

Diameter 14 inches, 35cm.
