This 18th century Dutch Delftware decorative plate comes in an earthenware body coated in a white tin glaze. Hand-painted cobalt pigment creates the blue and white design, which features a central floral vase motif flanked by two birds amongst scrolling foliage. The wide border incorporates alternating cartouche panels filled with squiggly line patterns and sections featuring a diaper pattern grid.
