A splendid Pair of George II 18th century silver salts with 3 pad feet. Hallmarked for London 1755 & 1756 by David Hennell I, with blue glass liners.
Both measuring approximately 5.5 cm diameter at the rim x 3.5 cm high with a gross weight of 90 grams (Silver only)
In very good condition for their 270 years, some surface wear and marks, they sit very well on their feet. Blue liners fit nicely and are in very good condition.
As you can see from the hallmark photos the makers marks are rubbed and different:-
1755 Salt - DH over a cross for David HENNELL I which was used by him up to and including 1755.
1756 Salt - DH for David HENNELL I used from 1756 onwards.
