Stunning Tall Oak Six-Section Globe Wernicke Bookcase, c.1890 A superb and very rare tall solid oak Globe Wernicke six section stacking barrister bookcase, dating from around 1890. This impressive Victorian example offers both exceptional quality and great versatility, making it ideal for a library, study, living room, office, or creative workspace.The bookcase is crowned with a moulded cornice and comprises six graduated glazed sections, each with its original up-and-over glass door, original mechanism, and small brass knob handle. The whole piece stands on a moulded plinth, with characteristic copper strapping to the sides.
