The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The piggin is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the base consistent with some 200+ years of age and use.
It measures 8.2 cm (3.3 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The base is star-cut to the edge in the Regency fashion. The piggin measures 9.7 cm (3.9 inches) in height to the top of the fan-cut single handle. There are some tiny flea-bite chips to some of the cut facets of the teeth on the rim but it's in remarkably good shape for a piggin of this age; normally they are heavily chipped. There are no other chips, cracks, scratches or any evidence of restoration.
A rare survivor in excellent condition for its type. It weighs in at 315 g. (~ 11 oz.).
