Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Edwardian silver, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often reflects lighter, more refined forms than heavy Victorian pieces, drawing inspiration from earlier Georgian and neoclassical motifs.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver using traditional silversmithing techniques such as wire-forming, soldering, and hand-polishing, often mounted on small feet and fitted with an arched central loop handle.

Authenticity is verified by examining the hallmarks stamped into the metal, which typically include a makers mark, a purity standard mark like the lion passant for sterling silver, a town mark indicating the assay office, and a date letter.

Such pieces can be displayed on an open shelving unit, used as a functional tabletop accessory during dining, or styled on a sideboard alongside other metallic objects to add historical texture to contemporary spaces.

Preservation involves regular, gentle dusting with a soft microfibre cloth and occasional cleaning with a specialist silver polish, avoiding abrasive materials that can wear away hallmarks and fine details.
