A Sampson Morden Victorian Silver Cross / Pencil Pendant Necklace

A rare silver pendant necklace by the great Sampson Morden. The pendant is crafted as a cross and is of hexagonal form. The Victorians great love of novelty items is illustrated here, as the slider to the front reveals a propelling pencil. The lovely silver cable chain has a rollover clasp and is marked Sterling. The cross bears the maker's name and tests as silver. A superb and practical piece and a great gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no breaks, splits or losses. There is a small dimple to the reverse of the cross, commensurate with age and use and shown in photograph.
