Description

A pretty antique gold brooch with a romantic design which combines heart and endless knot motifs, adorned with a polished turquoise cabochon.

SIZE: 4 x 1.8cm.

WEIGHT: 3.3g.

MATERIALS: 15-carat gold, turquoise. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Marked 15CT.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition.

ERA: Estimated late Victorian/Edwardian (c.late 1800s-1914).
