Description

This is a delightful pair of Norwegian silver gilt and guilloche enamel miniature salts. Dating circa 1930, Each tapered sliced-cut glass body with a screw-top silver and guilloche enamel lid. Both a lovely colours that complement each other well. Presented on their original silver stand.

STERLING NORWAY

Danish Crown.

Condition:

Glass in good condition.

Lids turn easily.

Enamel on both lids in great condition.

Dimension:

Height: 4.5 cm / 1.6 inches.

Base: 3.5 cm x 3.5cm / 1.2 inches x 1.2 inches.

Art Deco Norwegian enamelware is characterised by engine-turned patterns beneath vibrant, translucent glass enamel, known as guilloche. During the early to mid-20th century, Norwegian silversmiths combined precise geometric forms with sterling silver and colourful enamelling to create functional decorative objects.
