A pair of 19th Century Chinese Canton Famille Rose vase oil lantern lamps.
This exquisite pair of oil lamps showcases a beautiful collaboration between French and Asian craftsmanship from the 19th century. They feature Napoleon III Famille Rose porcelain combined with gilt bronze and brass elements. The lamps are elegantly raised on ornate round rococo gilt bronze bases, which are decorated with intricate scrolls and volutes.
The charming baluster-shaped bodies of the vases display hand-painted scenes surrounded by finely detailed floral and foliate designs, all glazed to enhance their beauty. The globes, made from opaque matte glass, are highlighted with engravings of leaf and flower designs and rest atop spouts adorned with petals, pearls, and swirling patterns.
