This mid-20th century style brooch is crafted from 18kt yellow and white gold and features a central step-cut amethyst.
The amethyst measures approximately 22.75mm in length, 18.00mm in width, and 9.80mm in depth, with a calculated weight of approximately 29.00 carats.
The gemstone is held in a multi-prong setting at the center of a dual gold wire spray design. One side of the spray incorporates five eight-cut diamonds arranged in a linear sequence, each weighing approximately 0.05 carats.
The brooch is equipped with a yellow gold pin and a sliding safety sleeve closure on the reverse.
The metal is stamped ''18k'' but lacks official hallmarks. The total gross weight of the piece is 18.6 grams. This item is a foreign-made piece characterized by its sculptural gold-wire wing motif and large-scale central gemstone.
