Victorian Floral Painted Cabinet Bookcase with Turned Columns

An unusual pagoda-top black-lacquered two-door Cabinet of Curiosities, finely painted with floral motifs to the front, sides and top.

The doors open to reveal a painted interior fitted with two fixed shelves. The cabinet is flanked by a pair of turned spiral columns with finials, standing on a break-front plinth above a drawer retaining its original lock and key. The whole is raised on turned feet.

The original brass cabinet locks are stamped with a crown with patent under, the locks have their keys.

In very good condition, showing wear commensurate with age and use, including expected losses to the lacquer, marks and surface scratches. Further photographs are available on request.
