A quality English solid sterling silver pint tankard. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1896 with the maker being Heath and Middleton. It has been superbly made being engraved with scrolls leaves and the initials CAR RCA RAC ARC etc... as they are entwined. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes distortions and repairs, the dovetailed joining seem is slightly visible down the back from when it was made, I suspect it would have been gilded inside which would have covered this, it could be easily re-gilded. It measures approx. 5 inches (12.2cm) tall by 4.75 inches (11.4cm) across including the handle and weighs 246 grams. A top quality piece.
