This attractive pine wall-hanging cupboard has its original painted finish. Similar cupboards were once found in every farmhouse and cottage, and this lovely example is featured in 'Welsh Furniture 1250-1950: A Cultural History of Craftsmanship and Design' (Saer Books, 2007, see http//www.welshfurniture.com). From Montgomeryshire, Wales, circa 1800.
