A matching pair of English sterling silver beakers, dating from the mid 18th Century. Cylindrical shape with a slightly flared rim and a bright gilded interior. Both have two panels of hand engraved decoration. They are good quality pieces and they weigh approximately 308g.
The hallmarks have rubbed but the lion passant is visible on both and the crowned leopard''s head for London is visible on the other. The style and shape of this mark dates the beaker to circa 1756 - 1775.
They are in good condition for their age. There are a few minor surface marks and small knocks but no major damages and they display well. They have been gently cleaned and polished are ready for use.
