The locks are stamped 'Mon Krieger, Paris'. Maison Krieger was a large and important producer of furniture in 19th Century in Paris.
It rose to prominence when winning awards at the 1849 Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie in Paris and the Exposition Universelle of 1851 in London, for the quality of its furnishings. By the late 19th Century Maison Krieger was one of the largest producers of furniture in Paris, with a large factory based at Faubourg St. Antoine, and counting Francois Linke among their clients. N.B. Francois Linke was a major figure in Late 19th Century mainly Belle Epoque French furniture.
